Yeah, but you guys aren't thinking about ballistics clearly. These bullets would neither explode, nor mushroom on impact. They'd keep moving until they transferred all of their kinetic energy to whatever was in their path, but that would be more likely to result in passing completely through a target, with one entrance and exit wound, but you wouldn't get an explosive exit wound. It'd just be a perfect hole, like pushing a bullet-shaped rod though the body.
This bullet would actually be less destructive than a bullet that does shatter, mushroom, or explode on impact.
These bullets won't even fire. The pin would bend itself trying to trigger the primer charge.
